Whales Used To Walk

I have to imagine that there are very few people in the world that do not know what a whale is, especially if they have the internet. 

They are, after all, some of the largest animals alive today with the Blue Whale being the largest known animal to have ever existed on this planet. 

That is why it is quite shocking to learn that ancient ancestors of whales walked on dry land, but it is apparently true.
