In just about every crime or health related television show made today you will hear about all kinds of things that they accomplish with DNA testing. 

While television might be exaggerating the current abilities of DNA tests, the things that we can learn with todays technology are still quite amazing. 

In all likelihood you probably know someone who has had their DNA tested to find out information about their paternity or ancestry, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. 

DNA testing can tell us things that we did not think possible a decade ago and our understanding is growing exponentially everyday.
