Why Can't Housecats Roar?

Since cats are one of the most popular pets in the world, there is little doubt that you have at least seen one before. 

You may or may not have noticed one big difference between domesticated house cats and the big jungle cats, house cats can't roar. 

At first this seems somewhat reasonable, since house cats are so small, but then again there must be some other reason.
