Isn't it strange how Americans have made a hobby and vacation out of sleeping outside and living off the land? 

It wasn't very long ago that this was a reality for people in the United States and it is still the reality for people in other parts of the world. 

One benefit of so many people taking an interest in camping is that there are thousands of products designed to make living outdoors a little easier. 

Some purists may complain that these products take the sport or fun out of camping, but I say if it makes it more accessible then I am all for it.
