Where Does Consciousness Come From?

When you really think about it, it is pretty funny that we, as humans, are conscious that we are conscious, but we are not conscious of how we are conscious...yet. 

Consciousness is one of those things that is really hard to pin down, but scientists think they might have found a major clue to solving the puzzle. 

Scientists have hypothesized for quite some time that the part of our brain known as the claustrum is where the majority of the brains activities are directed and could be what gives us consciousness. 

The discovery of 3 giant neurons has brought us even closer to answering the question of where consciousness lives in the brain.
