Whenever you see an illustration of ice age animals, you can bet that somewhere there will be depicted a saber-toothed animal. 

Saberteeth were very popular for millions of years and only recently disappeared from the animal kingdom. 

So why did they disappear if they were so popular and what were they used for anyway?
