Proposed "Superblock"Modern cities, especially in the U.S., are primarily designed for automobile traffic.

This is a huge problem because as cities become more populated, there is less room for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The idea that every city resident should have and use a car is outdated and is causing all kinds of problems, not only with traffic, but with problems like air pollution and fatal accidents.

The city of Barcelona in Spain is attempting to correct these problems by testing out a new urban design trick that will give the cities back to its pedestrians.

The design trick is called "Superblocks" and has been used in one other Spanish city with great success.

Check out the video below to learn more about this promising new idea and don't forget to let us hear your thoughts in the comments!
