Pain in animals is a little harder to test and experiment with since the animals have limited ways of expressing their pain to us. 

Even so, we know that most mammals experience some sort of pain sensation like we do because of their reactions.

So what about invertebrates like snails, crabs and lobsters? Do they feel pain like we do? 

This short and funny TED-Ed video discusses the possible answers to these questions and goes into basic detail about how pain sensations actually work.
