Bug Zapper LightEvery spring, summer and fall we have to deal with the swarms of insects that are attracted to our artificial lights. Why is that? 

What makes moths so eager to reach the light that they will literally fly right to their own fiery deaths in your campfire? 

To be honest, scientists really don't know the answer to these questions, for sure. 

There are lots of hypotheses out there, but none of them has been proven, yet. 

This video by SciShow introduces us to a few of these hypotheses and then discusses the cases both for and against them.
