Gav and Dan, The Slow Mo Guys, devised a challenge which involves an air pistol, a lit candle and a slow motion camera. 

They each take turns shooting at the lit candle from about 10 feet away in an attempt to put out the candle by hitting only the wick. 

It takes them quite a few tries since they are using a somewhat inaccurate air pistol, but there are several exciting hits along the way. 

Without the Phantom slow motion camera it would be hard to tell if the bb actually hit just the wick or just grazed the candle or flame.
