If you have a Twitter or Facebook account then you have probably seen some random post from a friend claiming that they were "hacked" by their kid, spouse or friend. This is not hacking. 

Hacking involves a whole lot more than just picking up someone else's phone or using their computer when they leave the room. 

Hacking itself is not a bad thing, however it can certainly be used for evil, as demonstrated by the many news stories you've no doubt seen about companies that have lost data to criminal hackers.
