Human beings have been in the business of naming things for thousands of years. 

Sometimes those names we choose seem to fit the animal, insect or mineral like a glove, sometimes not so much. 

Then there are the ones that seem to be a great fit, but upon further investigation it is really not as great as we once thought. 

Then there are some, like the Mountain Chicken pictured here, that make you wonder what they were thinking when they named it.
