Check Out This 100 MPH RC Car In Slow Motion!

RC car driving through flamesGav and Dan, The Slow Mo Guys, were gifted a couple of Traxxas XO-1 remote controlled supercars to use for a few slow motion experiments.

These little cars are all wheel drive, electrically powered, go 0-100 MPH in under 5 seconds and can run at speeds exceeding 100 MPH, while only costing around $750!

With Gav filming at 1000 fps using the Phantom Flex 4K camera, the first experiment was simply Dan jumping over the car as it passed under him at around 100 MPH.

Next, they decide to wreck the car by driving it off the roadway and sending it flipping through the air. Then, back on the road, they proceed to drive the car through a 5 lb pile of flour.

After seeing the awesome cloud of flour, they get the genius idea to drive the poor little car through the flames of a flame thrower.

Since the car survived all of those obstacles mostly intact, they had one last idea to try. I won't give it away, but it was a spectacular ending!
